How does the Kochava tracker work?
Kochava’s SDKs allow you to track cross-platform campaign performances. These SDKs are integrated using a JavaScript snippet which needs to be installed into your website pages. Once installed, all the page loads are automatically sent to Kochava, along with their unique session IDs as present in the user’s local storage. With this information, marketing teams can track their users whenever they visit or register on their website. Kochava’s web SDK for mobile is also used to track advertisements deterministically using unique click IDs. Any user who clicks on an ad from a channel and later purchases the product on the web or through an app is also tracked through the Kochava Analytics Platform.
How does Kochava get browser user identification?
Kochava offers robust and very useful tools for configurable mobile attribution. Its Attribution Engine is comprehensive and unbiased. It considers every available data point, including clicks, installs, impressions, and events, and uses them to determine the optimal engagement strategy. The identify function tells Kochava who the current user is. This method provides Kochava with a unique user ID and any other user-specific data available. Calls to Kochava’s identify function will send the user data to the Kochava Identify API, allowing you to use it for attribution.
