This guide will help you connect RudderStack to Claude Desktop and start exploring the new AI-powered pipeline debugging capabilities through Claude’s MCP connectors.

Prerequisites
Active RudderStack account with workspace access
Claude Pro or Team account (paid Cloud account required - this won’t work with free Claude accounts)
Setup
This section guides you through configuring a RudderStack MCP connector in Claude Desktop.
This option is currently in beta and available only in paid plans.
2. Configure RudderStack connector
Add the following details to configure the RudderStack connector:

Click Add.
3. Authorize your RudderStack account
Once you click Add, you’ll be redirected to app.rudderstack.com.
Log in using your existing credentials:
Google SSO
Email and password
SSO authentication
Complete the authorization process.
4. Verify the connection
Return to Claude.
You should see RudderStack listed in your available tools
The tool list includes options like:
audit_logs
get_destination_errors
list_connections
get_warehouse_uploads
source_live_events, and more
5. Test your connection
Try the following prompt to confirm that the setup works as expected:
How are my RudderStack pipelines?
This prompt responds with all your sources, destinations, and connections, confirming that RudderStack AI can access your workspace data.

Connectors tab not visible in Claude
Make sure you have a paid Claude account (Pro or Team) — MCP connectors are not available on free accounts.
Connection not appearing
Refresh the Claude connectors and verify that you have saved the connector correctly.
Authorization failures
Make sure you’re logged into the correct RudderStack workspace. You can also ask Claude to switch to the desired workspace.
Tools not loading
You might need to re-establish the connection. Try disconnecting and reconnecting.
