Rudder AI is now generally available — an AI agent that helps you monitor, debug, and interact with your RudderStack workspace from Slack using natural language.

success
Rudder AI operates with read-only workspace access and automatically masks customer PII before data reaches the AI — your team gets faster answers without exposing sensitive values.

See the Rudder AI Overview for full details.

Why Rudder AI?

When something breaks in your pipeline, finding the answer often means clicking through the dashboard, pulling event samples, and cross-checking destination metrics — while the incident is still open. Rudder AI meets your team in Slack and turns those investigations into natural language questions.

You can check event volumes, analyze delivery failures, review tracking plan compliance, inspect transformations, and get product documentation answers without leaving the channel. Because Rudder AI is read-only, it supports investigation and monitoring without changing sources, destinations, or other workspace configuration.

Key features

  • Monitor pipeline health: Check event volumes, success rates, and delivery metrics across sources and destinations.
  • Debug issues faster: Analyze failed events and transformation errors with masked PII protection.
  • Access configuration: View sources, destinations, transformations, and Tracking Plans in your production workspace.
  • Query documentation: Get AI-powered answers to RudderStack product questions grounded in the docs.
  • Slack-native workflow: Use Rudder AI in your designated shared Slack channel — responses are visible to the channel, and the assistant does not run in direct messages or other channels.

Get started

  1. Enable access: Contact your RudderStack representative to enable Rudder AI for your workspace.
  2. Open your designated Slack channel: Rudder AI responds only in the shared channel configured for your workspace — not in DMs or other channels.
  3. Ask questions in natural language: Start with monitoring or debugging prompts, for example event volume by source, destinations with delivery failures, or recent configuration changes.
  4. Provide feedback: Use 👍 or 👎 on responses to help improve the assistant.

See Rudder AI Key Capabilities for example questions by use case.

Data privacy and security

  • Rudder AI uses Amazon Bedrock for AI processing. Your data is never used to train AI models, and conversations are not stored.
  • Customer PII is automatically masked before reaching the AI. The masking preserves data structure for debugging while protecting actual values.

See Rudder AII Security and Compliance for access controls, workspace isolation, and revocation details.
