# JavaScript SDK v3

We have released [JavaScript SDK v3]({{< ref "sources/event-streams/sdks/rudderstack-javascript-sdk/" >}}) - a lightweight, efficient, and optimized version of the RudderStack JavaScript SDK v1.1.

Some key features of this SDK are:

- Smaller size of around 25KB (reduction of approximately 30% from the previous version).
- Fast, reliable, and less vulnerable to adblockers.
- You can now load specific SDK features by leveraging the SDK [plugins]({{< ref "sources/event-streams/sdks/rudderstack-javascript-sdk/load-js-sdk.md#plugins" >}}).
- Lightweight storage footprint with improved data encryption technique.
