Rudder Lookout Integrations Private Beta

Connect your warehouse, GitHub, GitLab, RudderStack, Slack, and external AI tools to Lookout.

Each Lookout integration plugs a real tool into the chat agent, so you can ask for something in plain language and the agent acts through the same connection you would use yourself.

info
The agent can only touch a system when that integration is configured for your workspace, and the surface it gets is exactly what the integration provides. With nothing connected, the agent can still chat — it just has no external reach.

Overview

The Lookout integrations fall into two groups:

  • Data and code systems: Warehouses, GitHub, GitLab, and RudderStack — these give the agent the ability to read your data and, where you grant write access, propose changes.
  • Access surfaces: Slack and the external AI tools connection — these define where you can talk to the agent and who else can drive its tools.

Supported integrations

Integration
What it unlocks
WarehousesAsk questions of your warehouse in natural language. Lookout supports PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, and Databricks currently, with read-only access
GitHubExplore repositories, review pull requests, and propose code changes as PRs in GitHub
GitLabExplore repositories, review pull requests, and propose code changes as PRs in GitLab.com and self-hosted instances in GitLab
RudderStackRead and manage sources, destinations, transformations, Tracking Plans, and Audiences configured in RudderStack
SourcesMap RudderStack sources to the repositories where their events are instrumented
SlackChat with the agent from a Slack DM or a bound channel
External AI ToolsLet approved external AI tools call a curated set of Lookout tools

How the integrations work

Each integration is wired into the agent only when it is configured. Warehouse tools appear once a warehouse is connected, repository tools appear once repos are linked, a RudderStack connection is set up. You can connect a system once, and the same connection powers chat, dashboards, Slack, and measurement-plan instrumentation.

info

Most integrations are connected by a workspace admin, because connecting a system is a workspace-level decision. Once connected, the agent can use it on behalf of any member.

See Roles and Permissions and Security and Data Handling for more details.
