announcement

The Audiences feature is in Private Beta, where we work with early users and customers to test new features and get feedback before making them generally available.

Reach out to Customer Success if you are interested in enabling this feature for your workspace.

A sync is the connection between a saved audience and a destination. Syncs are how audience membership is delivered to the downstream tools where marketers actually run campaigns.

success
You can connect a single audience to multiple destinations, each with its own field mapping and refresh cadence.
How Syncs work

How syncs work

  1. Create the audience in the Audience Builder.
  2. Click Add sync to connect the audience to a destination.
Add a sync
  1. Configure field mappings to tell RudderStack which audience columns map to the destination’s expected fields.
info
Each destination has its own connection and field mapping settings. See the destination-specific documentation for more information.
  1. Set a sync schedule — each destination connected to an audience can have its own schedule.
  2. Run the sync manually on demand, or wait for the next scheduled run.
info
On the first run, RudderStack performs a full sync and sends the complete current membership of the audience to the destination. On the subsequent runs, RudderStack recalculates audience membership at sync time against the latest warehouse data and sends only the changes to the destination.

Supported destinations

You can sync audiences to the below destinations:

Each page describes the authentication and connection settings, field mappings, and sync behavior for each destination.
