# Audience Builder

The **Audience Builder** lets marketers create targeted customer segments from the [Data Graph]({{< ref "audiences/data-graph/" >}}) — without writing SQL.

## Create an audience

1. Select a data source from the Data Graph.
2. Add one or more conditions:

| Condition | <div style="width: 350px;">Description</div> |
| :--- | :--- |
| Properties | Filter on columns of the data source directly |
| Relations | Filter by the existence or aggregate of related entity records |
| Events | Filter on timestamped event tables |
| Audiences | Reference existing saved audiences for inclusion or exclusion |

3. Preview the audience size — make adjustments to the filtering conditions as needed.
4. Save the audience and sync it to one or more [supported destinations]({{< ref "audiences/syncs/_index.md#supported-destinations" >}}) on independent schedules.
