RudderAI is an AI agent that helps you maintain and interact with your RudderStack workspace using natural language. You can use RudderAI from your designated Slack channel or directly in the RudderStack dashboard.

Operating mode
RudderAI operates with read-only access to your workspace and complete PII protection. This mode handles most of your monitoring and debugging use cases.
Access and permissions
Note that:
- RudderAI cannot modify sources, destinations, or other workspace configuration. All operations are read-only.
- RudderAI works within your production workspace only.
Slack
Contact your RudderStack representative to enable RudderAI for Slack, change your designated Slack channel, or opt out of RudderAI.
In Slack, RudderAI responds only in your designated channel. You cannot use it in direct messages or other channels. See RudderAI in Slack for details.
RudderStack dashboard
RudderAI in Dashboard is currently in Public Beta and is available for new signups only.
In the RudderStack dashboard, organization admins control access using the Enable RudderAI toggle in Settings > Organization. See RudderAI in Dashboard for details.
Data privacy
RudderAI uses Amazon Bedrock for AI processing. Your data is never used to train AI models, and conversation data is not stored by the AI provider.
Note that customer PII is automatically masked before reaching the AI. The masking preserves data structure for debugging while protecting actual values, ensuring the AI does not see any PII.
